Welcome - About the Waterbrooke
The Waterbrooke is located east of downtown Ottawa in the area known since the
early years of the 20th century
as Overbrook. Overbrook was annexed
by the City of Ottawa in 1950. The
neighbourhood's western boundary is federal NCC parkland along the Rideau River.
The eastern boundary is the Vanier Parkway.
The northern boundary is MacArthur Avenue, while the southern boundary is the Queensway.
Local residents refer to this area as "a little hidden jewel in a bustling city."
We take great pleasure in our close proximity to the Rideau River, and NCC parkland
with its Capital Pathway Bike Path
and trails that facilitate cycling, walking, canoeing and kayaking.
We are across the street from the Rideau Sports Centre and a five minute
walk to Loblaws. The Adàwe pedestrian
and cyclist bridge which opened in late 2015 provides
quick access to Sandy Hill and further on, the Byward Market
and downtown Ottawa.
The Waterbrooke condominium itself includes
well-landscaped grounds and a beautiful central courtyard
garden that is lovingly looked after by a volunteer
gardening committee, and landscaping maintenance crew.
